What information does KON-FORM need for tool design?
Ideally, we receive 3D CAD data, material information, planned quantities, tolerances, surface requirements and details of the intended injection moulding machine. We clarify any missing information together at the start of the project.
Can the injection moulding process be simulated in advance?
Yes. We perform filling and warpage calculations for thermoplastics and fibre-filled plastics and use the results to optimise the component and tool.
Is engineering available as a stand-alone service?
Yes. We design injection moulds, die-casting tools and individual fixtures independently of subsequent tool production.
Which software does KON-FORM use?
Complete 3D tool design is carried out in Siemens NX. We also prepare detail drawings, bills of materials and the required tool documentation.
